Im Innern is a concert installation, created on the occasion of Easter Friday as an introduction to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Requiem in D Minor K. 626.The piece explores multiple different perspectives on the interior- the personal experience of the chorus, musical material refashioned from the Requiem, and the spatial breath and scale of the Oper Bonn, where the piece was premiered.The piece stretches through enveloping, fragmented and often familiar musical spaces, in which ends are chained together to form new beginnings.
